Please join us at The Liaison Capitol Hill in Washington, DC for the Annual PTNPA Advocacy Event. PTNPA Members have the unique opportunity to hear from experts on the current regulatory and political landscape and receive updates on key issues facing the nut industry. The event is focused on conducting Congressional Meetings, giving PTNPA Members the opportunity to discuss issues of importance to you and your business. This year's event will also include spirited rivalries and rewards for the PTNPA members who set and conduct the most Congressional office meetings AND those who deliver nut industry products and information to other Congressional Offices!

There is no cost or registration fee for PTNPA members to participate in this event. Travel and hotel accommodations are the responsibility of each individual PTNPA member.

Wednesday, May 3

8:30 - 11am: Continental Breakfast and Key Issue Review
11am - 1:30pm: Lunch and Guest Speakers
1:30 - 5pm: Congressional Meetings and Nut Product/Industry Info Deliveries to House and Senate Offices
5:30 - 7:30pm: Networking Reception at “Art & Soul” (located adjacent to The Liaison Hotel)

Thursday, May 4

8:30 - 10:30am: Continental Breakfast Available - and Ongoing Congressional Meetings
10:30am - 5pm: Continued Congressional Meetings and Nut Product/Industry Info Deliveries to House and Senate Offices

PRODUCT SAMPLES NEEDED

To serve as “The Voice of America’s Nut Industry” the PTNPA will be a resource for Congressional Representatives by delivering Nut Industry Facts and Information AND your nut industry products and contact information on Capitol Hill (our goal is to deliver “in-state products” created by PTNPA Member companies in every House and Senate Office!). The PTNPA will be assembling Industry sample bags - but we need your products and business cards to include in the packages that will be delivered to Congressional Representatives from your home state (or states where your company has a plant, facility or office). These will be delivered during our May 3 – 4 time on Capitol Hill. Please help us feature "made in-state" nut products from as many different states as possible. If you are interested in having your products and/or company information included in this effort, please email trish@ptnpa.org for details.  

ADVOCACY PLANNING CALLS

We welcome all PTNPA Members who plan to attend the DC Event to join a series of conference calls as we prepare for our time on Capitol Hill. Please mark your calendars for the below dates:

- March 16th at 12pm EST/11am CT/9am PT (progress reports)
- April 4th at 2pm EST/1pm CT/11am PT (progress report/new issues)
- April 24th at 12pm EST/11am CT/9am PT (final wrap up before DC event)
