History of the PTNPA

The Peanut and Tree Nut Processors Association (PTNPA) was established in 1939 and during many decades has been involved in advancements and significant evolution in the food and nut industry.The PTNPA is proud to have continuously adapted to changes and opportunities impacting our industry. PTNPA is now recognized as a leader within the food industry.

Did you know? During the many years the association has existed, it has carried different names based on the expanding interest of the representation of members at the time. In chronological order, the PTNPA was formerly known as: 

1939 | Peanut Butter Manufacturers Association

1956 | Peanut Butter Sandwich and Cookie Manufacturers Association

1968 | Peanut Butter Manufacturers Association

1969 | Peanut Butter Manufacturers and Nut Salters Association

1982 | Peanut Butter and Nut Processors Association

1995 | Peanut and Tree Nut Processors Association
