Tami Jackson Buckner is an accomplished legislative and public policy strategist with over 25 years of experience in assisting corporate, government, and nonprofit leaders in creating value for their stakeholders and the communities they serve. Recently selected as a member of the prestigious Economic Club of Washington, D.C., Tami heads the Federal Government Relations Practice at Michael Best, where she oversees a highly skilled bipartisan team that handles a wide range of federal policy and legislative issues across various industries. 

In addition to her role as the head of the Federal Government Relations Practice at Michael Best, Tami is also a Partner and the Energy & Corporate ESG Practice Lead. With a wealth of knowledge in agriculture, food & beverage, and renewable energy sectors, she places a strong emphasis on environmental sustainability, social responsibility, and governance. Her past leadership positions at Waste Management, Kraft Foods, Coca-Cola, and DuPont Company have cemented her reputation as a respected advocate and earned her a constant presence on The Hill's esteemed list of top lobbyists in Washington D.C.

Committed to serving her community, Tami sits on multiple boards, including Stillman College, Georgetown Universityโ€™s McCourt School of Public Policy, the Girl Scouts, and the Congressional Management Foundation, and actively participates in various other organizations dedicated to youth and political engagement.

Above all, Tami finds her greatest joy and source of pride on the sidelines, enthusiastically cheering for her talented daughter Sloan as she dominates in elite lacrosse and AAU basketball, and captivating audiences with her brilliant cello performances.
