Judy Fadden, a Food Defense Consultant, is an accomplished Intentional Adulteration mitigation expert. She has developed risk-based mitigation strategies to meet FDA regulatory compliance for all segments of food manufacturing. She has multi-faceted food industry experience, literally from fruit to nuts, in conducting Food Defense vulnerability assessments to meet FDA FSMA requirements. She was responsible for the Food Defense program for the General Mills U.S. supply chain with over 10,000 employees, 47 manufacturing, 80+ contract manufacturing, 20+ distribution centers and transportation operations.
Starting as an industrial microbiologist, Richard quickly moved to a corporate sanitation and quality roles, in which he was responsible for developing programs, procedures and training, working with internal manufacturing locations as well as with external manufacturers and suppliers. Richard brings a wealth of international leadership expertise to his role as Food Safety Director at Commercial Food Sanitation. Although he specializes in the Bakery industry, the combination with his knowledge of food safety across food categories, enables him to help plants effectively improve, implement and sustain sanitation and food safety programs.
Gene Grabowski is a distinguished crisis communications counselor and former journalist with more than 30 years’ experience managing high-profile crises of all kinds for global companies, trade associations and non-profit organizations. Grabowski has been named PR News’ Crisis Manager of the Year for his work on national spinach and lettuce recalls, North American pet food recalls and global lead-paint toy recalls. He has also represented the Kuwaiti detainees in Guantanamo and baseball great Roger Clemens. More recently, Grabowski directed communications for the sweeping national ice cream recalls of Blue Bell ice cream. All told, Grabowski has managed communications for more than 160 food and drug recalls in his career.
