The Industry Handbook for Safe Processing of Nuts
Third Edition - Released December 2020

We are excited and proud to share with you the Industry Handbook for Safe Processing of Nuts - Third Edition, released December 2020. The Handbook was produced in collaboration with Consumer Brands Association. We extend deep gratitude to the members of our PTNPA Technical Committee and the Handbook Task Force who have worked extensively to ensure this edition is accurate and current. The contributions of each of these members was outstanding but we'd especially like to recognize the efforts of Gaby Chavarria/Harris Woolf Almonds, Hiroki Hiura/Setton Farms, and Yvonne Masters/John B. Sanfilippo and Son, Inc. for carrying this across the finish line.

This Handbook is a valuable resource to the industry, and the uses for it are extensive. Our members describe it as the "go-to reference" for food safety in our industry. Some members use it during on-boarding and training; others use it as a constant reference manual. PTNPA will be sharing this with our contacts at FDA and other key stakeholders.

Please use the link below to review, download and share the Handbook within your organizations and across our industry. It will remain on the PTNPA website at PTNPA.org/foodsafetyreports should you need to locate it in the future.
