Meet the PTNPA Team
Jeannie Shaughnessy, CEOAs CEO, Jeannie leads the PTNPA in fulfilling its mission and vision while managing daily operations. She works closely with the Board of Directors, Advisory Board and Strategic Committees to shape and guide the PTNPA in its ongoing and long-term strategies. Jeannie has more than 30 years of management and consulting experience with a focus on business operations and optimization, organizational development, change management, and communications. She is a trained Executive Coach, a certified facilitator and graduate of the Harvard Business School Social Enterprise Program, while also being a two-time business owner. During the past 35 years Jeannie has proudly served as a Board Member for many non-profit organizations. She is an avid sports fan, arts enthusiast and loves entertaining family and friends - especially near water. Jeannie can be reached at jeannie@ptnpa.org. Erin Jordan, Operations / GovernanceErin joined PTNPA at the start of 2023 and brings with her extensive leadership experience in association management. After owning her own business managing nonprofits, she has most recently served as vice president for the Association of Food Industries (AFI) since 2017 and in that capacity was also associate director for three other nonprofit trade associations. She has spent her career managing the business of trade associations including events, partnerships, strategy, boards, trade show promotions, and membership recruitment and retention. Erin carries a J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law and a BA in journalism/marketing from Marquette University. She lives in Spring Lake, NJ with her husband and enormous black lab, Samson. She enjoys walking the beach with them during any time of the year, and her extra time and money are spent on travel - plus any time she can get with her four grown children, their significant others and pets. Trish Schectman, Meetings and Events SpecialistHaving worked for PTNPA from 2011 to 2017, Trish was excited to return in 2022 to lead meetings and events. During her time away from PTNPA, Trish pursued a unique opportunity to start a Bed & Breakfast and event venue on a real working farm. Having spent the better part of 30 years planning and executing large meetings and events, leading this capacity is a natural fit for Trish. Ryan Ososki, Advocacy and Education SpecialistPrior to joining the PTNPA team, Ryan worked in government affairs in both Capitol Hill, the UK Parliament and various nonprofits and associations. In his previous positions he managed portfolios surrounding agriculture policies and was responsible for congressional, regulatory and appropriations priorities. Additionally, he has led national and international social media campaigns, press strategies and advocacy efforts to advance policy initiatives. Ryan is a proud graduate of the Catholic University of America having studied politics and history. Katie Juhl, Strategic Industry Communications SpecialistAs PTNPA’s first Strategic Industry Communications Specialist, Katie serves as the lead for all internal and external communications, marketing and branding initiatives while building the industry’s visibility, alliances, and strategic messaging. Before her role at PTNPA, Katie was the Director of Marketing and Communications for the American Bakers Association (ABA) and Founder of her own digital media, business development, and communications strategy company, Media Thicket. In her early career, she worked in the news business with TV stations first in her native Nebraska then for national and international news outlets in Washington, DC. After leaving the newsroom, she built products and partnerships for internationally-known brands. Currently pursuing her MBA from the University of Maryland Global Campus, she thrives on learning, exploring, and growing. She lives, works, and plays in Washington, DC, and the Eastern Shore of Maryland with her husband and their two greatest accomplishments (so far): their daughter and son.
